Statement of Concern About Materials in Evelyn S. Field Library
Because of the Library’s commitment to the principles of intellectual freedom, there may be materials in the Library’s collection which are of concern to some individuals or groups. The acquisition of such materials does not imply approval or endorsement of their contents or opinions, but enables the Library to fulfill its role in providing curriculum support and presenting a diversity of perspectives. For additional information on how the library selects materials, please read our Collection Development Policy.
The Library also has a commitment to those we serve to respond to concerns expressed about materials in the collection, and has developed a process for reconsidering materials that reflects the seriousness with which these concerns are treated. Please complete the form below if you wish to make a formal request for reconsideration of materials. Submit the form to the Library Director. A decision will be made and communicated to you within two weeks of receipt of this form.
