About Me

Hi! I'm Janelle Bitter and I have been the Systems & Technical Services Librarian at RVCC since 2018. I am currently the liaison for the following departments: Communication & Languages; Humanities, Social Sciences, Social Work, & Education.

Prior to starting here at RVCC, I worked for two years at Ocean County College in Toms River, NJ in a similar role. My librarianship experience includes teaching information literacy, providing research assistance, performing collection development, overseeing cataloging and technical services operations, and maintaining library systems operation. I am also interested in digital scholarship/digital humanities tools and techniques, and in exploring how they can be used in a community college setting.
