Why We Cite
This video explains why different citation styles exist and how in-text citations and Works Cited pages are related.
Use Noodletools to save your sources, take notes, and generate a works cited page.
Sign in to your RVCC email account in your web browser before going to NoodleTools. You will be able to login to NoodleTools with your G# and password and link your NoodleTools account to your RVCC account.
NoodleTools (Citation Generator)This resource is a useful tool to use while writing research papers to help with recording sources, organizing your ideas and building citations. Users may sign in using their G# but must have their Office 365 account open first. Once signing into Office 365, users can sign in to Noodle Tools under 'Access via G Suite' and connect using the 'Sign in with Office 365' button. If you're struggling with access to Noodle Tools, we have an answer that may be helpful in our FAQ.
In NoodleTools, under Access via G Suite / Office 365, enter your G# email address into the bar and click 'sign in with Office 365' below it as you see in the below screen shot:
Once you do that, you'll see an Account Setup box. This is where you can link your existing account to your O365 account. Since we're using single sign on (same thing we use for Canvas, RVCC email, Lion's Den, etc.), your user name and password should be your g#email address and your password.
