The title DACA shown over a section of the American flag. What We Know and Can Do Now

As a result of an order by a U.S. district court in the Eastern District of New York, on December 7, 2020, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) began accepting initial DACA applications, DACA renewal requests, and applications for advance parole from DACA recipients.

BREAKING NEWS: On September 13, 2023, a federal judge in the Southern District of Texas ruled DACA unlawful. Per the judge’s order, first-time DACA applications continue to be blocked and cannot be processed. Individuals who have DACA (as of July 16, 2021), or whose DACA has lapsed for less than one year, can continue to apply for renewal of their DACA.  This page will be updated as more information becomes available.
