In this blog, Karen Gaffney, a Professor of English at Raritan Valley Community College in New Jersey, shares her approach to racism. She has a PhD in English from the University of Delaware (2003), where she studied Critical Race Theory and contemporary literature. Peter Moskos is an associate professor in the Department of Law, Police Science, and Criminal Justice Administration at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. He is on the faculty of the City University of New York's Doctoral Programs in Sociology and a Senior Fellow of the Yale Urban Ethnography Project.
