Library 1st Floor Reopening FAQ

This guide will tell you what you need to know if you want to study or use a computer in the library.

Reopening the Library's 1st Floor FAQ

The 1st floor of the library is available for socially distanced individual studying and computer use only during daytime hours.

While this is a step to fully reopening, at this time we are still conducting all information literacy instruction remotely. We are not able to accommodate class groups in the library for any sort of instruction, group study, or faculty/student conferences. All of our virtual and remote services are still available.

Answers to frequently asked questions about visiting the library during this initial reopening are below but general guidelines are:

  • Masks and social distancing are required at all times.
  • Upon entering the library, you will pick up a numbered card and return it upon leaving. If there are no numbered cards, the library is at capacity and you will need to wait until someone leaves and a numbered card is available.
  • Tables in the library are available for 1 user at a time, the larger tables will be available for 2 socially distanced users. There are no group study rooms available.
  • There is a 'Supplies Station' which has wipes, spray, paper towels, plastic keyboard & mouse covers, and other cleaning supplies available for your needs.
  • We ask that you wipe down your work station (tables and computers) before and after use.

The video will walk you through the process of visiting the library with the new protocols in place. Please take a moment to watch it!
