We're so glad you're here!

Occupational Therapy Program Guide:

A guide listing the textbooks, circulating books, journals, and other resources available to you in the library. https://library.raritanval.edu/OTA

A Dedicated Liaison Librarian:

Students in the OTA Program at RVCC can work with any of the librarians if they have questions or research problems. OTA Students also have a liaison librarian, Alyssa Valenti, who is familiar with the course sequence, books and resources which support your program here at RVCC. Alyssa has availability for one-on-one help, email help, chat and phone help. Please reach out or schedule an appointment to get to know your friendly librarian!

Our goals for today's class:

  • Understand scholarly communication in the occupational therapy discipline
  • Identify different source types and understand why you would choose to use one or the other
  • Understand how scholarly journals are organized
  • Deconstruct and interpret a specific scholarly journal
  • Locate OT journals available in the library
  • Name the basic databases available for OT research
