Open Enrollment begins on
November 1, 2020 and ends December 15, 2020.
Why Is Open Enrollment Important?
Open Enrollment is generally the time of the year when you can sign up for health insurance if you don’t get coverage through your employer or a government plan, like Medicaid or Medicare. Insurance companies insisted on having an open enrollment period in the ACA to discourage you from waiting until you get sick to get covered. For most people, if you miss this period, you will be without health insurance in 2021.
When Does the Insurance Coverage Begin?
Insurance for this open enrollment period begins on January 1, 2021.
