We will end our celebration of Latinx Heritage month by celebrating Jean-Michel Basquiat. Basquiat was an artist, painter, filmmaker, and he remains a cultural icon. Known for his bold use of color and language, Basquiat began as a graffiti artist and moved into expansive canvases as his career progressed. His work addressed social issues such as racism and police brutality.
We have selected "Jean-Michel Basquiat: The Radiant Child". We will be showing the film on October 10 during College Hour.
