Research tip of the month: Setting up a project folder in RVOneSearch

If you've visited our library website, you've probably seen RVOneSearch. Students rely on OneSearch to easily search through most of the library's content - books, ebooks, scholarly articles, and more - to find sources.

What many students don't realize, is that you can also use RVOneSearch to save your research sources online, in your own personal project folder.  This allows you to easily locate and organize your sources - and to pick up your research where you left off days, weeks, or months later.  Your personal folder also saves links to all of your sources, so you can easily access the full text at any time you need it.

Here's how you do it!

1. Start by entering a search using RVOneSearch, from our library home page, then click “Search”.

2. Click on “MyEbsco” at top right of page, and then click “sign in to MyEBSCO” to login or create your account.

3.  Once you're signed in, you can use the 3-dots icon next to each of your search results and choose “Add to Project” to save the article.  You can add to an existing project folder, or create a new one.  You can give your project folder a name and description, and you can create as many different project folders as you like.

4. To access your saved items at any time, just connect to OneSearch from our library website, login to your MyEBSCO account, and click on “Projects” from the left-hand menu.  Then choose the project folder you'd like to see.

So give MyEBSCO a try next time you use RVOneSearch.  It can be a time-saver, and a great way to keep your research organized and at your fingertips when you need it!
