Books

If you cannot find what you are looking for using the Library's Catalog you may want to try a catalog from another library. We have a partial listing on our Addtional Library Catalogs Page. If you find a book at another library, you may request it through the Library's Inter-Library Loan Service. This can be done in person at the Circulation Desk or by using the Library's Online Form.

If you are looking for a text book, a listing of those on reserve is available. These books are held at the Circulation Desk and are available to be checked out for two hours at a time. A College ID is required and they do not leave the library.

Periodicals

The library has several resources when searching for periodicals. If you know the periodical title you are looking for you can start with the Periodical Locator. By typing in the title, the Periodical Locator will tell you if the library has access to it (print, microfilm, online, etc). Periodicals are also searchable by accessing the the Library's Research Databases. The Research Databases are also available listed By Subject.

If the article you are looking for is not available in one of our databases, you may request it through the Library's Inter-Library Loan Service. This can be done in person at the Circulation Desk or by using the Library's Online Form.

Further Help

If you are working on a research paper and are having trouble, consult the library's collection of Research Guides. These can help you get pointed in the right direction on where to look for information on your topic.

If you are still stuck, you can contact a reference librarian through our Ask-A-Librarian form, in person at the reference desk, or by phone (908) 526-1200 x8350.
