Adaptive Services
To better serve our students with disabilities, the library offers the following adaptive technology solutions:
- Telesensory Aladdin Apex 20 inch, color CCTV (closed-circuit television) reader. This device can magnify text or photos in magazine and books up to 52X. Standard 12 pt. newspaper print can be enlarged up to 4 inches.
- Big Keys keyboard that is easier to read and use than standard keyboards.
- ZoomText. This is a computer program that can enlarge computer screen text
- In addition, library staff has been trained to use the Accessibility features built into Windows XP, including the magnifier, narrator, onscreen keyboard, and high contrast features.
