Assignment Requirements
-Select a pediatric topic covered in the course materials or observed in your clinical area.
-If possible, interview nurses familiar with that disease management or nursing practice problem.
-Describe that pediatric disease management issue or nursing practice issue in detail AND the role of a nurse in solving the problem.
Source requirements:
- Find at least 2 professional nursing/community health or medical journal research articles relating to your selected practice focus.
1. The journal cannot be bought at a grocery store. (No Time, Newsweek, People, Health, etc.)
2. The journal is not a newspaper.
3. The article is not an editorial, position paper, or advertisement.
4. The article is at least 3 pages in length.
5. The journal can be found in CINAHL or Medline.
6. The article is a research study.
7. The article is not older than 5 years.
8. The journal will be peer-reviewed (see a librarian for more help on determining whether or not something is peer-reviewed!)
9. The article title, journal title, or abstract will have the word nurse/nursing in it.
10. If any of the above are not met, prior approval of the instructor is required before the article can be used.

*Scroll down to the very bottom and limit by age groups!
